La bohème - RESCHEDULED
The show has been rescheduled in December 2020.
The enthusiasms, desires, loves, and disappointments of the most famous group of young people in the world of opera. And in the end, it is the nostalgia of youth that has always moved anyone who comes into contact with this wonderful opera, which had its world première at Teatro Regio in 1896.La damnation de Faust - CANCELLED
The show has been cancelled.
The triumph of the demonic but also the wonder of magic, of female enchantment, and of the sense of panic of nature. A mosaic of impressive musical richness that treats the Faustian myth without mediation, with a revolutionary dramaturgy, and a ruthless epilogue.Matthäus-Passion - RESCHEDULED
The show has been rescheduled in April 2021.
The twists of the Gospel story reveal a wide range of human feelings and situations, thanks to the music capable of amazing representative perspicuity. Like a sculpture that comes to life, a monument of musical history materializes on the stage.Don Pasquale - RESCHEDULED
The show has been rescheduled in April 2021.
A comedy of misunderstandings with a strong sense of humour, in which one swiftly passes from sparkling euphoria to melancholy lyricism, from tenderness to malice, to farcical comedy. An opera by Donizetti in a state of grace, in his composition for both the voices and the orchestra. The Wizard of Oz - CANCELLED
The show has been cancelled.
Based on the successful novel - immortalized by the movie, a great classic in the history of cinema directed by Victor Fleming and starring Judy Garland - a new, refined and engaging opera with a shimmer of swing, able to "speak" to any kind of audience. The Wizard of Oz

Simon Boccanegra - CANCELLED
The show has been cancelled.
A fascinating opera with a historical background full of contrasts: between the public and private spheres, between the feelings of the heart and social norms, between great historical conflicts and individual events. Dominated by a dark tone and the prevalence of male voices, an elegant and experimental Verdi is hidden therein.Il barbiere di Siviglia - CANCELLED

Il barbiere di Siviglia - CANCELLED
The show has been cancelled.
The comic opera par excellence, innervated by a frenetic and whirling vital impulse, an "organized chaos," as Stendhal said. A love story that is thwarted by an old man, which, a shrewd deus-ex-machina, includes the inimitable figure of the most famous factotum in the history of music. My Fair Lady - CANCELLED
From Ovidio to musical theatre, by way of G.B. Shaw
Presented by Giovanni Gavazzeni
My Fair Lady - CANCELLED
The show has been cancelled.
A wager resulting in love, an impossible love between teacher and student, against a background of bitter social contrasts and instances of female self-determination. On top of all this is the enthralling verve of one of the most famous and most performed musicals of all time.Art and music in wartime
At the beginning of the 1900s the avant-garde explodes: Vienna and Paris are the hubs of modernity.

Agnese

Agnese
The first performance in modern times of an opera and a composer that warrant rediscovery. Admired by Chopin and Berlioz, Agnese by Paer conquered theatres all over Europe and the world in only a few years, in the same period that Rossini’s fame was growing. Great emotion and entertainment together with splendid music.
Preparation of the chorus for the audience of Pinocchio

La sonnambula
The phenomenon of sleepwalking and insanity in general is, in opera, a way to exalt vocal virtuosity. Bellini excels in radiating with his lyric style the tender and hard-won love between the protagonists, whom he entrusts with enchanting music.

La giara - Cavalleria rusticana
Lecture presented by Marco Targa
Cavalleria rusticana
Love and jealousy raised to the highest power by the music of Pietro Mascagni, who in 1890 began his career unexpectedly by winning the Sonzogno composers’ competition, being acclaimed as the “new Italian maestro”, after Verdi, thanks to this opera, based on a story by Verga.
La giara
Defying the censorship of the time like never before, Verdi stages a drama full of humanity, bringing to life a unique figure in the world of opera. A tragedy that brutally underscores the love of a father for his daughter which is crushed by the cynicism of society.
Porgy and Bess
Lecture presented by Giovanni Bietti
Porgy and Bess
Everyone knows Summertime, but few know that it is one of the wonderful songs of this “folk opera” with which Gershwin ended prematurely his career. Aspects of jazz, spirituals, musicals and theatre are the ingredients of the greatest American opera of the twentieth century, an authentic cross-section of Afro-American life.
