L’elisir d’amore told to young people
Donizetti's L’elisir d’amore is like a tender smile at the love that blooms between two young people, Adina and Nemorino, who are very different in character but united by the strength of their feelings. The timeless theme of love, the comedy of characters and situations, and the beauty of the music have ensured the immortality of the opera nearly 200 years after its creation. In the version adapted by Vittorio Sabadin, everyday situations unfold on stage: a school, a clumsy yet charming student, a top student who acts like a prima donna but hides a heart of gold.
