On the fiftieth anniversary of Britten’s passing, Simone Young opens MITO with the work that most intensely reflects this year’s theme: the War Requiem, where the Latin liturgy and the poetry of Wilfred Owen intertwine in a meditation on war and mourning.

Two close friends and a program of rarities: the Orchestra del Teatro Regio, conducted by Ludovic Morlot and featuring soloists Rinat Shaham and Pierre Derhet, performs the Italian premiere of two rediscovered works by Ravel, paired with the charm of Falla's masterpieces
