We inform the public that, from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 September, Turin's city centre will be affected by traffic restrictions due to the Turin Auto Show, which may also affect those visiting the Teatro Regio box office and those attending L'Histoire du soldat, taking place on Sunday 13 September at 5 pm at the Piccolo Regio Puccini as part of MITO SettembreMusica.
For the entire duration of the event, traffic will be banned for all vehicle categories in Piazza Castello, in the section between Via Verdi and Viale I° Maggio, and in Viale I° Maggio. The ban also applies to Via Palazzo di Città and Via Garibaldi, in the section between Piazza Castello and Via XX Settembre, as well as to the Giardini Reali and to the service road of Corso San Maurizio heading toward the Po river, between Rondò Rivella and Via Rossini.
On the days the Auto Show is open, the ban will also extend to a second section of Piazza Castello, between Via Pietro Micca and Via Po, to Via Verdi, from Piazza Castello to Via Giovanni Virginio, to Via Po, from Piazza Castello to Via Carlo Alberto, and to Via Pietro Micca, from Piazza Castello to Via XX Settembre.
To reach the theatre while avoiding the closures, we recommend taking Corso Regina Margherita, in both directions, or Corso Re Umberto, continuing from Via Cernaia toward Via XVIII Dicembre.
We also recommend planning your arrival in advance, taking into account the changes to public transport as well. For the entire duration of the event, routes 7, 13, 13+, 15, 55, 56, STAR 2 and Venaria Express will be diverted; from the start of service on Saturday 12 until 1.30 am on Sunday 13 September, the night network lines Night Buster N4, N4B, N10, W1, W15, W15B, S4 and W60 will also be diverted. On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, from 2 pm to 7 pm, metro service will be reinforced with two additional trains, while Line 4 will be reinforced on Sunday 13 September, from 11.30 am to 7.30 pm, with three additional carriages made available for the service.
