Teatro Regio returns to OperaVision, the European video platform dedicated to opera, with I puritani by Vincenzo Bellini, streaming for free and on demand at operavision.eu starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 4, and running until March 4, 2027.
The opera seria in three acts, presented last April at the Regio in a new production, is conducted by Francesco Lanzillotta and features an exceptional cast made up of John Osborn, Gilda Fiume, and Simone Del Savio. The direction, sets, and costumes are by Pierre-Emmanuel Rousseau, who signs a production inspired by classicism and neo-romanticism, with lighting by Gilles Gentner.
Following the success of Hamlet, broadcast in 2026, I puritani thus marks Teatro Regio’s latest contribution to this “opera season of Europe,” which allows an international audience to discover productions from the continent's finest theaters. In addition to the full streaming of the opera, interviews with the conductor and director are also available.
